The first round of the counting
of votes have come to an end with North and South parliamentary seats favoring
BJP and Congress respectively.

am, the counting started at the South Goa Center (Damodar College Margao) and
the North Goa Center (Govt Polytechnic Altinho Panjim). Votes from senior
citizens and those cast by mail were counted first. Both North and South Goa
saw cloud cover, which was followed by a lot of rain. EVMs were collected for
counting in South Goa at approximately 8.42 a.m. The leading contenders, the
NDA and INDIA, are certain of winning. In both North and South Goa, all 20
constituencies have been selected for joint counting.
