Keeping up with the latest updates from Goa, the much-awaited second round of vote counting for North Goa parliamentary seats has concluded at 11 a.m. The overwhelming response from the voters were in favor of BJP with Shripad Naik obtaining 1,32,677 votes, Ramakant Khalap 76,008 votes and RGP 24,023 votes.
In South Goa, Congress is leading with Capt. Viriato Fernandes garnered around 1,76,125 votes and Pallavi Dempo fought back with 1,56,853 votes.
Out of the total of 8 constituencies in South Goa Quepem, Fatorda and Curchorem voting is done. While the recounting of 5 constituencies is going on.
Furthermore, Ward No. 29 of the Margao constituency faced a problem where the EVM machine stopped functioning. A decision on what’s the next step has not yet taken.
