VASCO: The Verna police on Friday arrested three youth for performing stunts on their two-wheelers on the Verna-Loutolim road at the IDC.
On January 5, a video of three youth performing stunts on their bikes here had gone viral and taking cognisance of the video, police filed a complaint against the trio on May 18 and Sufiyan Mohammed Dingar, Kakomaddi-Quepem; Sahil Dinesh Bandodkar from Curchorem and Leander Nicolas Coutinho from Majorda were arrested for rough and negligent driving and endangering their lives and that of others.
Locals have alleged that there has been a rise in similar incidents on the Verna to Loutolim new highway at Verna IDC and the violators brazenly keep posting videos of their stunts on social media. Hawaldar Umesh Naik is further investigating the case.
