The accused arrested in the Veroda cross desecration case was on Tuesday remanded to seven days police custody for the purpose of investigations.
The accused, who is dumb and deaf, was interrogated at the Sanjay School, Porvorim this morning and would be subjected to another round of interrogations at the school on Wednesday.
Cuncolim PI Nelson Albuquerque informed that the accused was referred to the Sanjay School for the handicapped for interrogations today and would be taken on Wednesday as well.
He said the Principal of the school was present at the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao at the time of seeking police remand of the accused.
Meanwhile, the accused has moved the JMFC for bail, which has been firmly opposed by the Cuncolim police.
The bail plea will come up for hearing in the court on Wednesday, sources said.
