PANJIM: Former Goa University Professor of Microbiology Joe D’Souza passed away after a brief illness on Sunday. He was 76.
Prof D’Souza took up various matters concerning environmental degradation brought about through unplanned developmental projects.
He recently approached the National Green Tribunal (NGT) seeking a stay to the construction of the captain of Ports (CoP) jetty along river Mandovi at Panjim.
