PANJIM: Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu will be in Goa on January 9 as chief guest to the Legislator’s Day celebration.
Naidu will attend the Legislator’s Day event at the Goa State Legislative Assembly complex on January 9.
The first assembly of liberated Goa was convened on January 9, 1964 in the old Secretariat building. Hence, since then, the day is marked as “Legislator’s Day” every year.
Earlier, last month on December 19, President of India Ram Nath Kovind was on two-day visit, during which he launched the year-long celebration programme to commemorate 60th Goa Liberation Day.
