PONDA: Police investigations into the rape of a 4-yr-old girl from Marcaim has revealed that the accused Ishwar Yadav (23), a labourer from UP, had lured the victim with 10-rupee note.
According to police, Yadav, who has been remanded to 10 days police custody, had taken the girl to an isolated place near the factory premises, where he sexually assaulted her.
The medical check-up of the victim at GMC Hospital in Bambolim has suggested that the accused had performed natural as well as unnatural sex on the child.
Police added that the accused had committed the heinous crime barely a few metres away from the factory, where he and the girl’s parents were residing in rooms constructed for residential purpose.
It is learnt that the accused is married and has two children, who are residing in Uttar Pradesh.
