MARGAO: The Rosary Church at Fatorda has got a new generator, courtesy local Independent MLA Vijai Sardesai.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the generator after the Sunday morning mass in the presence of Fr Alvaro Martins and parishioners, Vijai said the Church and its affiliated school were involved in invaluable social and religious works towards the society in Fatorda and it was his endeavour to support such an institution in its work.
He called upon Fatorda residents to unite for progress and not fall prey to divisive forces who were sabotaging development initiatives in the constituency on implausible reasons. He said power outages had become common in the state and even the Government had accepted the same by initiating investigations into frequent power and transmission losses. Fr Alvaro Martins blessed the new appliance and thanked the MLA for his sustained help.
