MARGAO: Terming the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party’s behaviour to be unhealthy in coalition politics, Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardessai feared that the alliance partner may fall for the Congress leaders’ plan of engineering dissolution of the House.
“We cannot go for polls, as we were elected only recently,” he said adding that only the Congress Party leaders in Goa want dissolution even though the Congress MLAs are opposed to dissolution.
“It is only the unelected and unelectable leaders of the Congress Party in Goa who want dissolution of the House and fresh elections,” he said taking a dig at Goa Pradesh Congress Party President Girish Chodankar.
He opined that MGP may be uncomfortable with the fact that all three Goa Forward Party MLAs are ministers while only two MGP MLAs of the three are ministers and they may want to increase their number by one in the Cabinet.
