PANJIM: GFP President Vijai Sardesai on Saturday condoled the sad demise of former Minister and three-time Fatorda MLA Luis Alex ‘Mama’ Cardozo.
He said, “Mama was a friend and guide to me. He rose from the grassroots to become one of Goa’s most humble and respected political figures. He was an icon to the Catholic ST community and proved himself to be a true leader of the downtrodden.”
“I pay homage to him and offer my heartfelt condolences to his family, especially his son Tito, who has been one of my pillars of support in Fatorda. I take upon myself the responsibility to ensure that Margao Municipality pays “Mama” a fitting tribute by naming a prominent public place in his memory.”
