Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai has issued a strong warning against any proposal to shut down civilian operations at Dabolim Airport, cautioning that such a move would trigger widespread resistance in South Goa.
Stating that residents would not remain silent if the airport is closed under the pretext of national security or commercial interests, Sardesai declared, “No Dabolim, no railways, no highways.”

He warned that if civilian operations at the airport are discontinued, people of South Goa would launch a strong agitation, including blocking railway and highway traffic passing through the district.
Sardesai urged the public to remain alert and prepared for protest if necessary, asserting that Dabolim Airport remains a vital infrastructure asset for the region’s economy, tourism, and connectivity.
