Margao: The Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai would be moving a private member bill in the upcoming assembly session for removal of the declaration of Reservation and Delimitation from the Director of Municipal Administration and Director of Panchayats or any Government body purview and to give it to a neutral body like a State Election Commission instead.
Sardesai, reacting to the municipality reservation declared by the DMA today, said, “The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant if has nothing to hide will support this Bill to make it a Government bill.”
Sardesai further claimed that the next government will come in alliance and would first take it first to bring about the above changes.
Vijai exhaled relief that the weaker sections and women have got justice and have been delivered by the SC because of their appeal.
