MARGAO: BJP’s Fatorda unit on Wednesday condemned Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai’s personal allegations against Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on the election reservation debacle.
Reacting to Vijai’s remarks, BJP general secretary Damu Naik said, “His warnings and intimidation of the officials are condemnable.”
“The BJP has gone to the SC as this is our democratic right, but manipulating the peoples’ minds with lies is in bad taste. You are politicising on the basis of religions and genders. This will not have good effects and future generations will have to face the brunt”, he warned.
On BJP still letting Goa Forward Party remain a member of the NDA, Damu said, “The party at the Centre has not percolated to the lowest strata of the without any reason. They have their eyes on every single movement. Maybe he still wants to come to BJP.”
