measures to ensure a seamless holiday experience for visitors amid challenges
posed by declining tourist numbers due to the new Mopa airport. Sarpanch Dixon
Vaz expressed determination to maintain Cavelossim as a preferred destination
for quality tourists by addressing key concerns.
In anticipation of the holiday rush, the Panchayat has implemented various initiatives to ease traffic flow and parking issues. Private security personnel have been stationed at beach parking areas, aiming to alleviate any inconveniences for visitors.
Collaborating with esteemed hotels, discussions were held to deploy additional security along the main road, organizing proper parking facilities to accommodate the influx of guests.
Recognizing the significance of well-lit streets for safety and ambiance, efforts were made to repair all street lights, ensuring better illumination throughout the area, especially during the holiday evenings. Despite a decline in tourist numbers, with the majority of tourists arriving at Mopa airport, our priority remains attracting discerning visitors who value unspoiled beaches and environmental cleanliness, affirmed Sarpanch Dixon Vaz.
