PANJIM: Former Deputy Speaker and eminent writer Vishnu Surya Wagh was on Tuesday admitted in a private hospital after his health condition deteriorated. Wagh, 52, has been ill since August 2016 when he suffered a heart attack and then developed health complications. Since then, he has been bed-ridden.
“Vishnu Wagh is admitted in a private hospital after his health conditions deteriorated this morning. Right now his health condition is stable,” BJP leader Siddharth Kunkolienkar said. Kunkolienkar said that Wagh has developed an infection which is being treated by the doctors. “We wish him speedy recovery,” he added.
Wagh, a former BJP MLA representing St Andre constituency, did not contest the 2017 Goa Assembly elections due to his ill health.
