PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said wrong publicity and misinformation was being spread to malign him and give wrong information. “I must inform my supporters and well wishers the correct factual position of what transpired today before the High Court of Bombay at Goa. The admission of the petition and the categorical refusal of interim relief renders the exercise undertaken by the Congress against me a futility,” Rane said.
“Interim relief was sought against my continuing as Health Minister and contesting the bye-elections which came to be categorically refused the by the Court and the Court has merely admitted the matter. That is why I reliably understand that frustrated by the refusal of interim relief, Congress is attempting to move the Supreme Court. If the stories put up by them are true, then was no necessity for them to file the appeal,” he added.
