Visually impaired to go on hunger strike, demands job from Goa govt

PANJIM: A visually impaired Santosh Uttam Nageshkar from Deulwada, Marcel who is 100 per cent blind will go on a hunger strike in front of Marcel Panchayat from May 9, to protest the failure of the Goa govt to give him a job. 

Santosh said he had pursued the matter with Minister Govind Gaude for the last 10 years but without success. 

He is presently working in Mumbai at a call centre 1098 which will merge with the police number 112 from April25. Thereafter he will be without a job. 

Choking and fighting tears, Santosh said that without a job he will have to starve.
