PANJIM: Dr Vivek Gogia, IPS (AGMUT 1991) will be the new Inspector General of Police. He has been transferred from Delhi to Goa with immediate effect. The transfer order signed by Under Secretary Hitler Singh has asked that Gogia be relieved immediately.
The IGP position in Goa Police was vacant since Sunil Garg was transferred from Goa to Delhi.
The Union government has also transferred Rupinder Kumar (IPS) and Bhairon Singh Gujar of the 2003 batch to Goa from Delhi.
