Voluntary lockdown in Keri till August 5

PERNEM: Keri villagers have decided to  undergo a  voluntary lockdown till Sunday wherein all the businesses/shops will remain closed except for essential commodities after two new Covid 19 positive cases were detected in the village on Tuesday.

On Monday, a police constable attached to Porvorim police station was detected positive for coronavirus, followed which, swab samples of immediate family members were also collected wherein two  members were also tested postive. The infected persons will be shifted to covid care Center today.

Meanwhile along with two cases in Keri, nine more cases are detected in Mandrem, three in Corgao, Four in Tuem who are contacts of previously infected person and two new cases in Pernem town.

Similarly, a GMC staff from Anjuna and a police staff from Moira have tested positive on Tuesday.

Total six cases are detected in Siolim PHC jurisdiction with two cases in Parra, two in Assagao, one at Canca and one in Anjuna.

Eleven new cases are detected under Colvale PHC with five cases in Colvale including two fish vendors, two cases each in Assonora, Thivim and one at Sirsaim.

Nine new cases detected under Urban Health Center Mapusa with five cases in Khorlim, three at Karaswada and one each at Ganeshpuri and Ansabhat.
