Scores of voters and citizens protested outside the Manora Raia
house of Nuvem MLA Aleixo Sequeira’s House for joining the BJP. Some described
his move as a dacoity of voters. They argued that the anti-BJP vote in the Nuvem
constituency was 97% and he should not have joined the BJP on moral grounds.
They challenged him to resign and recontest on a BJP ticket. Voters also burnt an
effigy of Aleixo Sequeira.
