Voting on the No-Confidence Motion against the newly elected chairperson of Margao Municipal council Ghanshyam Shirodkar will be held on September 23. The BJP-supported councillors backed by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat gave notice of no confidence to the directorate of municipal administration on Monday.
Shirodkar has been in office hardly for three days. Although the BJP had 16 councillors there was cross-voting, it is perceived, apparently after Digambar Kamat joined the BJP.
