Congressmen from Goa voted in the Congress presidential elections on Monday. The polling process that began around 10 am will end at 4 pm. The results are most likely to be announced on October 19. Over 9,000 Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) delegates who comprise the electoral college will elect the party chief.
Senior party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are the two candidates in the fray for Congress presidential elections. Kharge has been considered the Gandhi family’s candidate while Tharoor has projected himself as the candidate for change.
