MARGAO: Refusing to divulge whether BJP would move against its MLA Vishnu Surya Wagh for anti-party activities, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday said the San Andre MLA had not stopped hobnobbing with leaders of other parities from the beginning.
“When did he stop hobnobbing with opposition leaders? Did he ever stop that? Some people have the habit, they die hard”, Parrikar said while the media drew his attention to reports that Wagh has been hobnobbing with the Opposition leaders.
On Wagh’s decision to take to the streets on government’s decision on the contentious Medium of Instruction (MoI) policy, Parrikar blamed the San Andre MLA for his failure to submit his views on the issue at the party fora. “When the party leaders were invited for a meeting to submit their views on the MoI, he did not attend the meeting nor failed to submit his view. What he does now is something regular with him”, the Chief Minster said. When asked whether the party would initiate action against Wagh, Parrikar shot “Why should I tell the media what action is being contemplated against the MLA”.
