PANJIM: Department of Urban Development on Friday announced reservations for municipal elections across different wards of municipal councils.
The order on the reservation of seats for women, SC, ST and OBC has been issued by Urban Development Director Gurudas Pilarnkar.
Last month, Goa State Election Commission had postponed the elections to the 11 municipal councils, the City Corporation and bypolls in various village panchayats by three months till April 2021.
In the past as well, elections, which were scheduled for October 18, 2020 were postponed by the SEC for three months due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The fresh order does not mention any reason for the postponement.
