MARGAO: Concerns have been raised about the foul stench emanating from the huge amount of waste dumped on the side of the Eastern bypass near Maruti Mandir at Davorlim as well as near the Power House circle.
Locals have complained that all types of waste including chicken remains are dumped here by commuters who pass by these roads.
Workers employed in cleaning up this section near Maruti Mandir complained that it is hard for them to carry out this task due to the stench and lamented that even after they clean the place, there is garbage dumped again in the area within a few minutes.
Locals demanded that strict action be initiated against the culprits so that a deterrent is set.
