MARGAO: A huge fountain of water from the pipeline at Arlem was witnessed on Tuesday by commuters after the PWD attempted to fit a valve to the line.
The valve was being fit after water was successfully diverted for domestic use to Raia and Camurlim villages.
The technical error though did not affect supply of water to houses as the line has still not been supplying water to domestic consumption.
The 100 MLD line from the plant in Sanguem is supplying water to the Verna water sump. The water engineer told that while attempting the valve fitment, the trapped air in the water line burst out creating a fountain for a while.
