PANJIM: The march of destruction by Smart City works continues. On Tuesday, Smart City works damaged an underground water pipeline near Krishi Bhavan, Miramar.
The incessant digging led to the bursting of underground water pipeline works, leading to loss of thousands of litres of water. There was no official on site when the incident occurred.
Though the pipeline burst on Tuesday and thousands of litres of water were wasted, it was only fixed on Wednesday by 11 am.
The negligence of the Smart city in fixing the problem in time has raised concerns among residents who are suffering from water shortages due to the dipping of water levels in dams and shortage of water supply.
