PERNEM: While the villages in Pernem are battling water shortage, lot of water is getting wasted as a water pipeline in Agarvaddo got damaged while laying underground electricity cables.
On Tuesday night around 11 pm an earthmover machine digging a trench in the middle of the road damaged a water pipeline leading to wastage of water. Not only this, it is also causing traffic snarls, only adding to the woes of motorists. The labourers eventually fixed the problem.
Meanwhile, the motorists in Mandrem have been annoyed over road contractors digging up the roads without giving a prior notice. The roads in Mandrem are dug up almost everywhere leaving the commuters no option but to get stuck in traffic.
