PERNEM: Irked over acute water shortage problem for the past many days, the villagers of Siolim Marna and Sodiem have threatened to protest.
The villagers along with panchas of both Siolim-Marna and Sodium-Siolim Panchayats demanded with the PWD to regularise water supply within two days, failing which, the they will block the road. The villagers claimed that the water supply is a major issue in Siolim Constituency as a result, they are facing hardship. The issue of irregular water supply in Siolim, especially during the past many days, even after making several requests, is not revolved. The villagers are more upset over the fact that even during the monsoons, their household taps are running dry.
