Some parts of Bethora face water shortage in May, while in Savoi Verem and Kerim, locals face water scarcity throughout the year due to low pressure. Residents elsewhere in Amadi-Keri have accused the PWD of disconnecting the water supply due to non-payment of bills.
“Due to lower water levels at the Opa Water Works, there is poor water supply to a few residents at Ashawada and Gotawada in Bethora. They receive tap water supply at night, but this is not adequate and so, the panchayat has made every effort to provide them with potable water 
Unhappy over the erratic water supply, residents of Kerim had earlier staged an agitation and also met their local MLA and Cooperation Minister Deepak Davlikar.  
They have also submitted a memorandum to the government, requesting authorities to install tanks and a better pipeline, to ensure more water supply and at higher pressure to ensure that it reaches all the affected areas of Kerim.
