Mapusa: Calangute police arrested one Habibar Mondal(61) a native of West Bengal for allegedly possessing Narcotic substance suspected to be ganja worth Rs 2,05,500.
According to Calangute police inspector Nolasco Raposo, a team of Calangute police comprising of PI Nolasco Raposo, PSI Sushant Sangodkar, Head Constable Vinod Naik Police Constables Vinay Shrivastav, Suresh Naik, Dinesh Morajkar, Rupesh Salgaonkar apprehended the alleged accused in the wee hours of April 4 for being in illegal possession Ganja weighting 2,055 grams which was found in a bag carried by the accused.
The accused was produced before the JMFC court Mapusa who remanded him to 5 days police custody. Calangute Police is further investigating the case.
