PANJIM: The Porvorim police arrested a 32-year-old man from West Bengal for draining waste water on the road side at Socorro.
According to the police, a call was received from a local panchayat member that one water tanker is draining waste water on the road side at Socorro.
The staff of Porvorim police station immediately proceeded to the location to trace the water tanker.
With the help of the video clip circulated on social media, the water tanker was detained along with the driver Mahasad Dafadar, a resident of Porvorim and a native of West Bengal.
The accused driver was brought to the Porvorim police station and has been arrested under Section 34 (v) of IP Act.
Further investigation is underway, police added.
