CANDOLIM: The Calangute police have interrogated both the accused persons in the murder of Candolim-based hotelier Vishwajeet Singh. The weapons used in the assault were recovered on Thursday, police said.
The accused person, Umesh Rathod alias Lamani, has disclosed that his motive for the murder was registration of an FIR for stealing the victim’s bike.
The sword and the knife used in the gruesome assault and alleged murder were recovered after the alleged accused disclosed where they were hidden.
The Activa scooter used by the accused has also been retrieved the police said.
