MARGAO: A joint inspection of the Western bypass from Nuvem to the wholesale fish market was conducted on Thursday by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar and other government officials.
Kamat, who is the Margao MLA, urged Pauskar, to open the Western Bypass stretch for vehicular traffic, which he asserted will help ease the vehicular movement and reduce the traffic congestion at the Nuvem junction on the highway. Following discussions about how only little work is remaining on that stretch, the PWD Minister urged the officials to ensure that the pending work is completed on priority so that the road can be opened for vehicular traffic soon.
