MARGAO: A Konkan Railway Police team is set to visit Kerala as part of their investigation into the recent seizure of a valuable and prohibited substance known as whale vomit or ‘Ambergris’, estimated to be worth a staggering Rs 5.60 crore.
Following the successful apprehension of two individuals, Arun Rajan, 30, and Nibin Varghese, 29, both natives of Kerala, the Konkan Railway Police believe they are likely to make more arrests in the case.
Currently, the two suspects remain in police custody for six days.
Sources within the Konkan Railway Police revealed that they have served notice to an individual from Margao for questioning in connection with the case. Further investigations have revealed that the prohibited substance, Ambergris, was stored in Margao.
