Panjim: Continuing with its aggressive stance on the ‘false promise’ of providing employment to Goan youth within 1 to 2 years, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said the Chief Minister had crippled recruitment and promotion processes at all levels and now the latest ‘exam gate’ which has the touches of Vyapam scam in his BJP ruled state of Madhya Pradesh has become a national shame with the country’s leading media covering the story.
“It is strange that not one from 8000 applicants could pass the exam and certainly it is not an IIT entrance exam. CM’s penchant for giving indiscriminate extensions in service to government employees who are his relations or that of his party colleagues itself nails the lie about the CM’s statement of providing employment to youth.” said AAP General Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar.
He further said all the Chief Minister had succeeded in achieving was in giving employment to his friends such as Dilip Buildcon and their hordes of labourers brought in to build bridges that will serve corporate interests by destroying fields and the very character of Goa.
“Government had been reduced to doing clerical work with crumbs thrown in to keep them quiet while the loot continues. He said that the labourers brought in thousands are given shelter, ration cards and voting cards in return for a secure vote without any regard to the interest of the state.” he added
Meanwhile, AAP has dared the 40 MLAs to take the same exam and show the result to the people of Goa.
