MARGAO: The former TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has mocked the government for not having succeeded in getting the planned state-of-the-art testing lab at the fish market, in Margao.
Vijai said, “Fishing ban period will begin in two days. Fish will then come to Goa from out of the State. Formalin fears remain and will emerge again. No progress on the state-of-the-art testing laboratory which I intended to start and for which Union Minister Suresh Prabhu had laid the foundation. The State government is playing with people’s lives!”
Vijai said that no testing is happening presently.
He warned that testing isn’t happening and if it continues we will not hesitate to agitate. If the government doesn’t test the fish coming to the market, we will need to agitate.
