Margao: Angry protestors today gathered at South Goa Police Headquarters demanded quashing of FIR against the 6 activists named in the FIR for the Chandor showdown on November 2. The crowd of protestors asked police to arrest them in protest against the summons to 6 activists in the Chandor protests matter.
Two of the summoned accused activists Sandesh Talekar and Abhijit Prabhudessai were summoned today to the Maina-Curtorim police station for inquiry. The duo attended the summons and have denied to give any written or oral statement to the summons. People and the duo demanded quashing of FIR.
People demanded action against the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kiran Poduwal for intmidating the people and demanded his suspension for the incident in Davorlim.
Activists wrote to the police for quashing of FIR as they claim that it is false and fabricated. “Why shouldn’t we file complain against the ministers and Adani and other corporates for destroying Goa?,” asked activist Abhijit Prabhudessai.
Protestors, after deciding to file complaints against the ministers and the corporates involved in the projects for the alleged destruction proceeded to the office and one after one at least 300 of them filed 2 complaints and one application for quashing of FIR. People questioned why only 6 were booked while there were thousands including politicians.
