PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that the State government will advertise and fill 10,000 jobs by December end, ahead of the next Assembly elections. In an interview with a television channel, Sawant also ruled out the possibility of mid-term polls in Goa.
He said that it would be binding on the government to fill vacant posts even though it would place an additional financial burden on the State exchequer. He said that a large number of employees would retire this year and therefore these jobs are required in the State administration.
The Chief Minister hoped that the State’s finances would improve and it would reflect in the State Budget for the year 2021-2022.
