MARGAO: Despite a big lineup and starting on time, Vijai Sardesai cut across his guests and well wishers of the Goa Forward party including his Margao Chairperson Dr Babita Prabhudessai, to address the crowd. “I come once again for your vote in thanksgiving for all you did for me and having full faith in me for five years. I have a lot of unfinished business in Fatorda and in Goa. My plan is to make give Fatorda, development but in balance with nature,” stated Sardesai.
Promising to build a Borda church, temples, assisting mosques, clearing the air on the Lake Project, his dreams for a police station in Fatorda with rising crimes, passing a bill for job reservations in private companies across Goa, Sardesai was wooing voters in his constituency where he won in 2012 but was trounced in 2007.
“Fatorda is a village which has underground cables, soccer stadium, highways, buildings but also a village of fields, buffaloes, dairies and lots of backwardness. My job is to maintain that balance and take my people ahead and my dream is to do it by being a part of a government,” exclaimed Sardesai.
