BICHOLIM: AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik said he would try to bring the project of making sanitary pads in villages under MPLADS.
He was speaking after inaugurating a new sanitary pad making machine provided to a woman entrepreneur, Jayashree Parwar at a function at Pilgao. The machine has provided by Ubantu Foundation.
He applauded Jayashree Parwar, who is making sanitary pads at Pilgao-Bicholim.
“Today, women are moving further and it is a good thing. In some fields women have taken over men,” Naik said.
The minister said he would try to include this project in MPLAD scheme and in every panchayat he would try to provide at least one machine.
