Will we get a place to pray? That is all that the parishioners of the Little Flower Church in Delhi ask

One is sure that the AAP govt will resolve the issue, restore the Church and trust of the people

The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told reporters in Goa that the demolition of the Little Flower Church in Lado Sarai, Delhi at Chatarpur, with bulldozers and 150 people, was carried out by the Delhi Development Authority which is controlled by the Centre. The opposition has said that the orders were issued by the local District Magistrate which reports to the Delhi government.

All that the worshipers for whom the Church was a place of solemnity, prayer and succour want is that their place of worship be restored and rebuilt. One is sure that the local  AAP MLA and the Delhi government  will look into this as a father.

Every family looks up to the father when it needs help or a solution to any trouble. A CM plays the same role

On an issue like this, people will naturally turn to the Father of the government they voted for. And look at him for solace. When the Delhi CM goes and studies the issue in detail, one expects and is confident that for the government of Delhi the priority will be to restore the trust and confidence of the people, which was badly shaken up when they saw their Church getting demolished. It was as if someone had hit them really hard and they gathered in the evening with candles to pray and protest, gently and peacefully. More than going into who is responsible, the people are looking for the Delhi Chief Minister to play a big role in building trust and healing.

One should believe that he would know that when a blame game starts people lose trust and the Delhi CM will not allow that to happen.

The Gulf countries have treated all Indians well without any discrimination

India is a land of harmony. A the same time so many Indians who have worked in other countries especially the Gulf countries have been treated well and equally even in Islamic states. Indians have worked peacefully as they have earned. When incidents like this happen, the government must do everything in their power to protect the good impression other countries have of India as a land that respects all faiths. Yet again people are looking at the Delhi government too, to ensure that this good impression that people have abroad of India is retained. One is sure that the Delhi CM had already decided to act on this.

A church is built by prayers and love, not by bricks

At the end of the day, every Church and all other places of worship are not built only with bricks and cement. It is built by prayers and love and unity and harmony. Very often lands are donated and the donor is actually happier as he feels blessed more than even the receiver. It is this sentiment that is more important than anything else. As one share these sentiments one is also sure that the Delhi government will act on this sentiment and say that while administrative issues may be dealt with separately, the sentiment of the people and their right and desire to get a place to pray will be kept above all other issues.

The people are sure to hear anytime soon the words of the elected Father of Delhi to say it’s time to rebuild and heal and the government will rebuild their beloved Church.
