VASCO: The management of Western India Shipyard Limited (WISL), Mormugao has agreed to disburse the salary of its workers and officers in the first week of June.
According to sources, the WISL and ABG employees had been protesting the non-payment of their dues.
“The salary of the workers was reportedly pending since the last four months, while the officers were not paid for the last eight months,” explained Suhas Naik, Secretary of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC).
