PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that all the people in Goa will be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with both doses by the end of October this year.
Sawant told the media that 76 per cent of the population of the State has taken the first dose of the vaccine, while the remaining 24 per cent will be given the first dose by July 31. There has been a very good response to the Tika Utsav 1.2 programme and so far 10.68 lakh people have been administered doses. Of these 8,66,730 people took their first dose which is approximately 76 per cent of the total population of the State.
The identification of people who are yet to take the vaccine is underway and the government will ensure that no one is left out from taking the vaccination in the State, he added.
The Chief Minister also requested the people, who have completed a minimum interval of 84 days from the date of their first dose, to now take their second dose.
