The accused assailant Arjun Harijan, who is a neighbour of the complainant, kicked and slapped the woman and her daughter, the woman’s complaint reads.
A dispute broke out over a relationship that went sour between the woman’s daughter and the nephew of the accused. Angered by this development, the accused assaulted the woman and her minor daughter and outraged their modesty, reads the complaint.
A criminal case has been registered under Sections 323, 324 and 354 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children Act. The mother and daughter are undergoing medical treatment.
