VALPOI: A 60-year-old woman died while five others were injured when a car and a pick-up collided with each other at the Chorla Ghat.
According to reports, the pickup was travelling from Goa to Belgaum, while the car was travelling from Belgaum to Goa. The two vehicles collided with each other about 2 kilometers from the Goa border. Harshada Bano (60) from Chitradurga in Karnataka, who was seated near the driver, was seriously injured in the mishap while others sustained minor injuries.
The injured were taken to the Sanquelim community health centre, from where Bano was shifted to the GMC hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
