Woman trapped after KTC shuttle bus tilts over her car

Three others injured in separate accident at Shantinagar in Vasco

VASCO: A 28-year-old woman from Chicalim was injured and got trapped after a KTC shuttle bus fell over her car near Vaddem Lake in Vasco, on Saturday. 
According the Vasco police, while driving through a pothole, the driver of the shuttle bus lost control and the vehicle got tilted over an oncoming Santro car near Vaddem Lake. 
A Suzuki Access scoter that was trailing the Santro car rammed the Santro car. However, the rider escaped unhurt.
The Santro car driver Jewel Nunes, a resident of Chicalim got trapped inside her car and she was later rescued by the Vasco fire station staff. 
Later with the help of an ambulance, the injured woman was shifted to the Cottage Hospital at Chicalim and then to Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim. 
According to unconfirmed reports, 10-12 passengers were onboard the KTC shuttle bus.
There were unconfirmed reports that an elderly lady was also present inside the Santro car. However, police refused to confirm the information. There were also unconfirmed reports that some passengers onboard the bus suffered minor injuries, but police have not received any intimation on the same.
Since the accident reported on the main road leading to Vasco heavy traffic was witnessed along Chicalim-Vasco route however the same was cleared by the police. 
Meanwhile, three people suffered injuries (one fracture injury) in another accident involving five vehicles including three cars, a motorcycle and a tempo reported at Shantinagar in Vasco on Saturday evening.
