PANJIM: The Panjim police on Monday recovered the body of 37-year-old woman found floating in the river at Four Pillars, St Cruz.
The police later identified the body as of Swapna Manerikar from Merces and have suspected it to be a case of suicide. She had allegedly left her house early morning on a two-wheeler. According to some reports; she was under tension for last few days.

Earlier, the Panjim fire personnel rushed to the spot and removed the body and handed it over to the police, who conducted the panchanama and sent the body to the GMC, Bambolim for autopsy.
