PANJIM: The students of the Women’s Hostel at Bambolim held a protest on Tuesday against the alleged water shortage and unhygienic water supply at the hostel for months.
According to the students, there has been no water supply for the last seven days.
They lamented that the hostel which houses around 100 students has been dealing with the ‘dirty water’ since March 2021 but that there has been no response to their complaints.
After the water supply stopped, a student even wrote to the Goa University Vice-Chancellor (VC) recently. The student said this has not only affected their health but has come in the way of their academic related preparations.
