MOPA: The government is yet to be formed however the work of the Mopa Link continues. The contractor who is awarded the contract of the link road is presently leveling the land for the construction of disputed road with heavy machinery.
Along with leveling of land, testing of soil at different locations from Dhargal to Tulaskarwadi is also ongoing.
Reportedly, from almost a month the work of the link road has commenced. The contractor initially cleared the land by bulldozing the plantation of fruit bearing trees including cashew, mango and others while on the other hand, and the affected farmers especially from Tulaskarwadi Nagzar are fighting to stop work of the link road.
To stop the link road work the affected farmers, NGOs and others had even held a one day protest and blocked the road however, the authorities ignored their demand and continued the work of the link road.
